Hello! I can't believe it's been so long since I last posted! I have been in back to school mode, and it has been busy! I just realized how much I have on deck this fall, and man am I going to be busy! Anyway, this card is my attempt at a card that has been cased many times over on Splitcoast. The ribbon isn't in the other cards I have seen using this layout, but we all know I LOVE ribbon! This card uses my favorite retired In Color, Pacific Point. I also used Good Morning Sunshine dsp, Chocolate Chip cs, and Whisper White cs. The message is stamped in Chocolate Chip.

Have a great day! :)

More Altered Items

Hello! I FINALLY finished the altered items for my Goddaughter. I have started on this project THREE times. But, I wasn't happy with them, so back to the drawing board I went. Kasserine is very special to me, and she wasn't getting anything I wouldn't want to keep for myself. Love you sweetheart! :)

Have a GREAT day!! :)

Mojo 100- Days 5 and 6

Hello! Because of my busy week, I got a day behind in my posts. But, I have caught up, and posting days 5 and 6 of the Mojo Monday Turns 100 challenges. This has been a really fun week, and the sketches have been great! I really liked playing along, and I hope you have enjoyed my cards!

Day 5 sketch:

Result:

I REALLY like this card! The polka dot dp is from my stash, as well as the vanilla cs. The greeting is Stampabilities. I used Melon Mambo and Basic Black ink, and Basic Black cs from Stampin' Up!. The cupcake is a die cut that I purchased, and I added some glitter to the 'frosting'. I really like the sparkle! The ribbon is left over from one of Ava's birthday gifts. I never throw ribbon away, you never know when you can use it! :)

For the second card, I used a looooong ago retired stamp set, Very Cherry. I actually hunted this set down on ebay because I love cherries, and wanted a huge cherry stamp. I was SO happy I found it!

Day 6 sketch:

Result:

I used Whisper White, Glorious Green, Basic Black and Real Red cs, Real Red and Basic Black ink, VersaMark for the background cherries, and the ribbon is Ribbon Trends. Hope you have a great day! :)

Mojo 100- Day 4

Hello! I am soooooo very sorry that I didn't post this yesterday, I had a VERY busy day! Today was no exception, but I managed to get this card done before I took the girls to the dentist. I used my favorite Stampin' Up! retired In Colors, Pacific Point and Kiwi Kiss. I also used the Good Morning Sunshine dsp. The stamped image is from Savvy Stamps, and the message is from the One Smart Cookie set (retired), by Stampin' Up. Not bad for a 20 minute card, I think! :)

Mojo 100- Day 3

Hi!! Sorry this one is so late, but BOY did I struggle! I just had a hard time with everything today. It's just been one of those days! For the card: To start, I knew I wanted to use the watermelons. I cut them out last night from some pp I have had laying around all summer. I was determined to use them for today's sketch, no matter what it was! I cut the original 'rind' off, and made new ones from Stampin' Up! Glorious Green and Green Galore cardstock. I used Whisper White cardstock as well. I stamped the Hello! in Basic Black. The stamp is from the Simply Circles set, which is retired. The other embelishments are from my stash, and ta-dah, we have a card! I will say that this card is another desperate attempt for me to hang on to summer! ;)

Mojo 100- Day 2

Hello! I just love waking up to a new sketch! I had a lot of fun with this one. AND, I got to use a stamp that has been laying around collecting dust since I bought it a year ago! :) I went outside using my normal bold colors, for more muted, subtle ones. I really like the end result. I used Stampin' Up! Kraft cardstock, and Soft Suede to ink the sides. Other than that, everything else is from my stash.

I REALLY want to buy a professional grade camera one day, but until then I am making do with what I have. I am currently experimenting with different angles and lighting for taking my photos, so they may look a little different until I find something that works! Thanks for looking, and have a wonderful day! :)

Bam.

I love my friends. Especially when they give me reasons to challenge myself. I don't think I have done any boy-themed projects in a looooong time. Well, my old friend Trisha challenged me to do just that. I have been looking for an excuse to use the little alligator dude I made a few weeks ago. Not only did I get to use him, I got to make him Supah-Sized! Thanks Trisha! I hope you and AJ like it! :)

Just a little fun this weekend! Have a great night! :)

School Supplies!

Hello! Just a few altered items for my daughter for school! Alyssa really likes having things that are made just for her, so I personalized her composition book, and threw in a few more things I thought she would need. The bookmark is for the Twilight books she can't tear herself away from! I didn't do any stamping for this project, but as you can see, I am using one of the new In Colors, Dusty Durango. Alyssa really liked the designer paper from my collection (non SU), and I thought this color matched perfectly! I also used the polka dot ribbon, which finished this project off nicely! I got the inspiration for this project from Angie Juda over on Chic n Scratch. She is SO awesome! :)

New In Colors...in bloom

Ok, so you have seen me use Melon Mambo. A LOT. This is my attempt at using all 6 of the new In Colors. In keeping with my Rose theme, (and I promise you, I am almost done with this set for a little while!) here is a set of 2 3x3s and 4 5x4s. I have the new polka dot ribbon, but I thought that the black ribbon look a bit more elegant. Enjoy!

2010 In Colors: Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry, Crushed Curry, Soft Suede, and Dusty Durango

This set was created using the One Sheet Wonder technique. Although I didn't make my own designer paper, it was some I bought at that awesome sale I told you about in my last post! :) I also used the roses I made when I was playing with my Stampin' Pastels last week. I still have a lot left, so you will see more projects using them! Thanks for your continued support, and have a GREAT day! :)

Mojo Monday #99

In today's challenge, I used my scraps! I am getting too much in my scrap pile, so I figured I would get busy getting rid of them!

Can't say No to a good sale...

Hello! Let me start by saying that yes, I am a Stampin' Up! Demo. And while I think our products are FABULOUS and encourage everyone to buy them (especially from me!), I have been bad. Really bad. You see, I got an email from JoAnn Fabrics a few days ago alerting me to a sale they are having. A pretty flippin' good one, as a matter of fact. And I couldn't help myself. I. WENT. NUTS. I spent waaaaaay more than I should have, but I got some really cute stuff! I justify all this by saying that I have a weakness for good sales, and if I didn't get this stuff, I would kick myself later. ;)

Anyhow, this card is using my favorite new In Color, Melon Mambo. I had so much fun playing with some of the other things I bought yesterday. I think I am going to make this card into a set with a cute box. Hmmm....stay tuned! :)

Notepads!

Hello!! My project for today is altered notepads! I did these for a meeting that I had at my house today. It is functional, but also served as sort of a gift to thank them for all the hard work that we have ahead! :) As you can see, I am using one of the new In Colors in the first set. Of all the new colors, I think Melon Mambo is my fav. I love this shade of pink so much! I also used the new Polka Dot Ribbon in Melon Mambo. The patterned paper is more from my stash, that I am slowly starting to let see the light of day. The second set is using Pacific Point as the main color. It is from the 2008 In Colors, and is my favorite from that group. I just love how Real Red looks with it! If you can believe it, I still had some paper left over from my One Sheet Wonder project from a few weeks ago! I made a bunch of cards with it, and still had some left over. I LOVE that technique!

Mojo Monday..on Tuesday

Hello! My card for today is my entry in the Mojo Monday challenge. I actually had it done yesterday, but it still looked unfinished to me, so I didn't upload it. It STILL looks unfinished to me today, but, oh well.

Anyway, I sm still continuing to go outside of my comfort zone with this card. I am not much for floral print, but I have been playing around with the A Rose is a Rose stamp set. Since I paid for it, I might as well use it, right? :) This set has two step stamps, but with the rose on this card, I just used the detail stamp, and used my Stampin' Pastels to color it. I have also been playing with my pastels a lot lately, because last week one of my club members asked me about them. I was kind of 'meh' about them, because I don't really like the texture of chalk. But, after actually sitting down with them and really using them, I found that I REALLY like them. Thanks Tamie!

Do you think I should add to it? If so, what? Thanks in advance! Have a great day!

Back from a break...

Hello All! Sorry I haven't posted, my family came to visit! We had so much fun, I didn't want it to end. But alas, back to work...

My project today was done with my Mom and Me Card Club. The patterned paper we used was Raspberry Tart Designer Series Paper. Although Stampin' Up! has retired this very pretty paper, I have lots of it, and will use it until it is gone! :) This set includes 4-5 1/2 x 4 1/4 cards, 3-3x3 cards, and 4 gift tags. It also has an address book, a pen, and a little pocket for your stamps. This set makes a great gift!

Have a great day!

Stamps: So Very, A Rose is a Rose
Paper: Raspberry Tart DSP, Whisper White, Pink Pirouette, Kiwi Kiss
Ink: Basic Black, Pixie Pink
