Bright Spots...

Hello! I'm so sorry I have been MIA. For some odd reason, my computer would not load any pictures from my memory cards. In a final, desperate attempt, I shut everything down for awhile. After I restarted, my computer was working just fine again! Modern technology, I tell ya...

Anyway, my card for today is another bright one! I am REALLY tired of the snow, cold, and gray, so I am trying to brighten up my life with cards!

Hope you have a fantastic day! :)

Crazy for Cupcakes!

Hello All!

Today I am sharing a couple of things. First, is the project I am doing this weekend with my kids club. I thought this would be perfect because what kid doesn't love cupcakes? I really like this stamp. It's a single stamp called 'Simple Birthday Thanks'. It's HUGE! I have made several cards using this stamp, the possiblities are endless!

The second thing I am sharing are the gifts I made for the kids' teachers for Valentine's Day. They really liked them! My oldest daughter's teacher didn't want to eat it because she thought they were too pretty! :)

Well, as is my VERY busy life, I must rush off. The school Luau is tonight, and of course, I am involved with preparations! Have a GREAT day!!

Hello All!

My card for today is a CASE of this card. I haven't been feeling the most creative lately, so I have been looking at the fabulous galleries on Splitcoast for inspiration. I changed things up just a bit, and added a splash of red. Black, red and white is always my go-to color combo when I am at a loss for creativity. Enjoy!

Have a great day!

Valentine's Day is OVER!!

Hello All!

Well, I made it through Valentine's Day. Don't get me wrong I LOVE V-day. But, with 4kids in school, it CRAZY all V-Day week! Even my oldest, who is in 6th grade, just HAD to take in treats this year. I wonder if she will still feel that way next year? Anywho, I have been stamping, I just haven't had time to post. But, here is a little of what has been going on...

I love, love, LOVE the new Flower Punch from Stampin' Up! I am really enjoying the new design of the punches, and it is much easier on my hands. My cards for today have been inspired by cards that I have seen perusing magazines, and other blogs. I also wanted to get in the spirit of spring and summer, and get some bright colors rolling!

I really love the 'buttons' on this card. I made them using my 1 inch circle punch, and my crop-a-dile. A little time consuming, but I really like the end result.

Did I mention that I love the new flower punch? I love it. A Lot.

When I punch my flowers, I like to punch two and layer them, to make them even more sturdy. I also sponge the edges in the same color as the cardstock to give them more depth. I also did the same with the buttons.

Well, that's all for today! If you have any questions, please let me know. Have a FANTASTIC day! :)

Tess is AWESOME!

Hello All!

I have been playing around with Tess, and the Bitty Birthday stamp set! Again, I got the idea to pair these two sets from a poster on Splitcoast. What a genius! I think I am going to make a few more of these in different colors just to see what I come up with.

Hello all!

Yu can catch this card on madeitmyself.com it is for sale, along with some of my other favorite samples! Check it out!

Have a FABULOUS day!! :)

Tess takes the cake!

Hello All!

My project for today features one of my new favorite Stamp Sets, Tote-ally Tess. I knew when I first saw this set I HAD to have it! The possibilities are endless! I saw a fellow Stamper on Splitcoast use Tess with the Bitty Birthday set, and knew that I had to do the same. As some of you know, I was a professional cake decorator for a number of years. I still do cakes and cookies from time time, and thought this would be a cute take on me.

The sketch comes from the Mojo Monday challenge. When I first saw it, I thought I would have a hard time with it, but it ended up being a breeze!

Well, I hope you all like it, because I had fun doing it! Oh! I have some more fabulous news! If you look on the sidebar on the right under my profile pic, you will notice I have something new posted. I'm selling my cards on madeitmyself.com! I have more samples than I know what to do with lately, so I thought I would sell them off! It's actually kind of hard, because I look at each one of my cards as a little piece of art. But, I always take pics, so if I want to recreate them, I can. I only have a few posted right now. It is a bit of a process uploading them to the site, as I am new at doing this. So, I will be uploading more cards as the day goes on, so check back often!

As always, if you have any questions, please let me know. Have a FANTASTIC day! :)

The cream in my coffee...

Hi! My card for today is for the Mojo Monday challenge. I realize that it's Tuesday, but I needed to sit on this sketch for a day to figure out what to do. I am still making myself use my scraps, and this card is another result of that. It made it a bit more challenging though! I really like the end result, I'm in love with this stamp set, and the color combo!

I will admit, I asked Travis for his opinion about a thousand times while I was making this. (Thanks sweetie!) I loved how Mary Fish used hearts in her card, so she was an inspiration also. It's a contest this week, so I thought I would try and bring my 'A' game! Let me know if you have any questions. Have a FANTASTIC day!! :)
