Hi all! I hope your Christmas was just as wonderful as mine! The days leading up to Christmas were VERY busy, but the actual day was quiet and uneventful, even with visiting the in-laws! I couldn't ask for more than that!
My project for today is my first for V-Day! It is using one of my favorite color combos of the moment, Melon Mambo and Black. While the patterned paper is not SU!, (it's one from my stash) the color is so close I thought it worked perfectly. The inspiration for the little box came from my favorite resource, Splitcoast. It is so cute, and fits the candy so perfectly, I KNOW I will be using this one often!
My computer is acting kinda funky today, and I can't save my photo editing. So if you click on the pictures, they are going to be HUGE!!
These last two pictures are the Teacher gifts I made. They are comprised of inexpensive items, but when I put everything together, it cme out beautifully. The kids' teachers loved them!
If you have any questions about any of these projects, just drop me aline and let me know. Have a fantastic New Year's Eve, and be safe! :)

Hello Everyone!
Sorry for posting this so late, but that's what life is like on third shift! I slept a lot longer than I wnated to, but I suppose I needed it. Anyway, my project for today is another batch of the gift tags that I have been making lately. I am trying to find the design that I want for myself, so I guess this will be trial and error until I figure it out! But, never fear, these won't go to waste. They are going to be a part of the teacher gifts the girls are giving. :)
I have also fallen in love with making Peppermint Patty Sandwiches! They are so super and easy and cute, and will also be going into the gift bags this year!
Well, I gotta run, I have to finish dinner, and try to catch a quick cat nap before I go to work! :)

Jumping in with both feet...
Oh my goodness it's been awhile!! First, I would like to say I'm so very sorry for pulling a disappearing act! I have had the craziest month you would not believe! The last time I posted, my family was battling the H1N1 flu. Well, it got me, and I was down for the count for almost two weeks. Then just when I was feeling better, I had to go back to my hometown of Lansing, Michigan for my 15 year class reunion. It was SO much fun, everyone looked GREAT! It's hard to believe I have been out of high school for 15 years!
Then, in the middle of all that, I was the chairperson for the BIG fundraising event at my kids school. It was a HUGE deal because this was my first year heading the event, and being the perfectionist that I am, I obsessed a teeny bit. (lol) It went very well, and we brought in over 9000 dollars that night! Whoo-Hoo!! :)
Add in a few birthdays (I turned 33 on the 15th!), some more sickness, I started back on nights at my job, and just the overall business of being parents to 5, and papercrafting had to take a back seat for a little bit. But, I'm back!!! And while I was away, I discovered that I got an award! (But more on that later!) So on to today's project. I just decided to jump right in and do a Mojo Monday sketch, because I love them so! I had been working on and off all weekend on projects for the kids' teachers, so the colors and stamp set were already set. I really like the colors, and have decided they are going to be used for a lot of projects this season! Hope you like it!
The sketch:
The Result:
Close-up of the sparkle!
Here are a couple of the things I worked on this weekend...
I have been making gift tags like a maniac! I will will sharing my creations all week.
This is another paper bag purse that I did with my Kids Card Club this weekend. The kids did a fabulous job! And a special shout-out to my 5 year old Ava. She stamped for the first time this weekend, and did an awesome job! She is a natural! I will have to share her creations later.
If you would like to know the ingredients for these projects, just drop me a line, and I will let you know!
I will try and post my Beautiful Blog award that I got from Sue Daly later today. But you know how life can be, so it may be tomorrow! Until then, have a FANTASTIC day! :)

It has been a LONG time!
And I'm really SORRY!! I am in the middle of about 1000 things (as usual) and I have been seriously neglecting my poor blog! :( I am planning a huge fundraising event at my kids' school, and that has been taking a lot of my time. We are also battling a rather persistent flu bug in my house, that also has about a third of the kids' school gone. Ick.
Anyhow, because I feel I need to share something, I dug through my pics and found a couple of 3x3 that I did about a month ago. Hope to get back in the swing of things soon!
Have a great day! :)

Paper Bag Purse
Hello!! I am SO excited with the project I am sharing today! It is a Paper Bag Purse, and it is SO easy to make! I got the inspiration and instructions for making it from Becky Roberts. Her blog is called Inking Idaho, and you can visit it HERE. I came across her blog during one of my daily trips to Splitcoast. I just LOVE that place! For this bag, I didn't do any stamping. I think it took me all of about 15 minutes to pull it together. And it probably would have taken less time had I not messed up one of the cuts!
I used Stampin' Up! Raspberry Tart dsp, and a (somewhat) coordinating color from my stash. I'm not sure of the company or the color name, I've had it a looooong time! The cute little cupcake is a die cut that I purchased on Ebay a little while ago. I bought A LOT of them! I think I am going to make a Halloween themed one later. This was so fun! Let me know if you have any questions, and have a GREAT day!! :)

Mojo Monday 105
Hello! I am very proud to say that I have completed my Mojo Monday card for this week! I didn't get it done last week. I just couldn't get any good ideas for the sketch. Oh, well, Yay for this week though! I REALLY liked this week's sketch. It jut came together so easily! I think it has a lot to do with the fact that I am currently in the house, ALONE. Travis is at work, and the kids are in school, so I had no distractions! Actually, as I was making the card, a song popped into my head that I hadn't heard in YEARS, and I went to my old CDs, and there it was! I just listened to it about 50 times while I made the card. It was AWESOME!!
The sketch:
The result:
The color combo in this card isn't one that I would have normally thought to use: Kraft, Bermuda Bay, Orange, and Basic Black. However, I think that it came together nicely. I happen to have almost all my paper spread out, (I'm working on something for my card club members!) so I just plucked them out! Let me tell you, trying to tie that ribbon without the polka dots showing is pretty tricky! Hope you like it. Have a GREAT day, I am!! :)

Fun New Project!
Hello! My project today is a fun new project called a Photo Pocket book. I got the inspiration, and instructions on how to do it from Michelle Wooderson. The name of her blog is Mish Mash, and the direct link to the awesome project is HERE.I had a lot of fun with this! If you attend my card club on the 25th of this month, then I will show you how to make it in person!
This is a rather easy project to do, and it will most certainly be on my gift giving roster this Christmas!
These are pics of 2 of my girls with my Dad at a Father Daughter Valentine's Day Dance. There is a pic of me with him, but it was a few months after I had Ava, and to be quite honest, I didn't look all that great! So, I didn't show it!
I have to run to my kids' school in a little bit for a Girl Scout meeting, but I will post the details on the card kit later! Have a great Day! :)

Kids Club!
Hi Everyone!
Today I am posting the projects that are going to be done in my first Kids Club! I am really excited about this, because I get to teach a new generation this fabulous hobby! I am trying to keep things simple at first, and as they build on their skills, we will be doing more complex projects. But, here is what we will be doing in our first meeting:
This kit is going to be available for purchase! I will post all the details about it tomorow! Have a great day! :)

Over the weekend...
I made a few projects. Well, more than a few actually! I have been getting things planned for my clubs and classes, as well as taking care of a rather large project for my husband's birthday! He is turning 30 this year, so I am doing something really special for him. I would give details, but I never know when he is snooping around my blog! ;)
On Mondays, I usually start off my week with the Mojo Monday Challenge. However, I think I need to sit on the sketch for awhile. I am trying to figure out which direction I want to go with it. But never fear, I have a project from the weekend all set to show! Lately, I have been playing around with clear stamps, and I have to say I like them! The image in this stamp needed to be colored, so I pulled out my Stampin' Up Blending Pens and stamp pads and this is what I came up with...
Gotta love that sparkle!
If you would like the details on any of these cards, please let me know! Have a great day! :)

Mojo Monday 103
Happy Labor Day everyone!!
I know I have been away for a little while. I have had A LOT going on. I have a major decision to make, and for the time being, I am unsure as to what I want to do. I HATE that!! :( Because of all that, I was feeling far from creative, and haven't worked on anything since last week. Well this morning, I decided that I was just going to pray about it, and leave it be. The answer will come, I'm sure of it.
So, because I am NOT going to let negative forces get the better of me, I am going to do what I do best, create. It's Monday, so that means it's time for my favorite challenge! I did two cards today, because I couldn't decide which direction I wanted to go in. The first card is done two different ways. This weeks's challenge is also a contest, so I am trying to bring my 'A' game! It was tough getting back into the swing of it, but I think I did ok. :)
The sketch:
Result number 1:
I love how it sparkles!
Results 2 and 3:
I'm not sure why the sponged area look so orange. But it really isn't in person, I promise!
This sentiment really spoke to me today.
If you would like the ingredients to make any of these cards, just drop me a line, and let me know! Have a wonderful Labor Day! :)

Mojo monday 102
Hello! This is my card for Mojo Monday. It's been a busy , exciting day getting the kids off for their first day of school! I am finally enjoying a certain amount of silence. Ava is still hanging around, her first full day of Kindergarden isn't until Friday. Until then....
I decided today would be my first Halloween card! I really don't have a lot as far as Hallowen stamp sets go, I am hoping with back to school shopping DONE, I can invest more into building my holiday sets up!

Mojo Monday 101
Saturday, August 29, 2009
Hello! I can't believe it's been so long since I last posted! I have been in back to school mode, and it has been busy! I just realized how much I have on deck this fall, and man am I going to be busy! Anyway, this card is my attempt at a card that has been cased many times over on Splitcoast. The ribbon isn't in the other cards I have seen using this layout, but we all know I LOVE ribbon! This card uses my favorite retired In Color, Pacific Point. I also used Good Morning Sunshine dsp, Chocolate Chip cs, and Whisper White cs. The message is stamped in Chocolate Chip.
Have a great day! :)

More Altered Items
Hello! I FINALLY finished the altered items for my Goddaughter. I have started on this project THREE times. But, I wasn't happy with them, so back to the drawing board I went. Kasserine is very special to me, and she wasn't getting anything I wouldn't want to keep for myself. Love you sweetheart! :)
Have a GREAT day!! :)

Mojo 100- Days 5 and 6
Hello! Because of my busy week, I got a day behind in my posts. But, I have caught up, and posting days 5 and 6 of the Mojo Monday Turns 100 challenges. This has been a really fun week, and the sketches have been great! I really liked playing along, and I hope you have enjoyed my cards!
Day 5 sketch:

I REALLY like this card! The polka dot dp is from my stash, as well as the vanilla cs. The greeting is Stampabilities. I used Melon Mambo and Basic Black ink, and Basic Black cs from Stampin' Up!. The cupcake is a die cut that I purchased, and I added some glitter to the 'frosting'. I really like the sparkle! The ribbon is left over from one of Ava's birthday gifts. I never throw ribbon away, you never know when you can use it! :)
For the second card, I used a looooong ago retired stamp set, Very Cherry. I actually hunted this set down on ebay because I love cherries, and wanted a huge cherry stamp. I was SO happy I found it!
Day 6 sketch:
Result:
I used Whisper White, Glorious Green, Basic Black and Real Red cs, Real Red and Basic Black ink, VersaMark for the background cherries, and the ribbon is Ribbon Trends. Hope you have a great day! :)

Mojo 100- Day 4
Hello! I am soooooo very sorry that I didn't post this yesterday, I had a VERY busy day! Today was no exception, but I managed to get this card done before I took the girls to the dentist. I used my favorite Stampin' Up! retired In Colors, Pacific Point and Kiwi Kiss. I also used the Good Morning Sunshine dsp. The stamped image is from Savvy Stamps, and the message is from the One Smart Cookie set (retired), by Stampin' Up. Not bad for a 20 minute card, I think! :)

Mojo 100- Day 3
Hi!! Sorry this one is so late, but BOY did I struggle! I just had a hard time with everything today. It's just been one of those days! For the card: To start, I knew I wanted to use the watermelons. I cut them out last night from some pp I have had laying around all summer. I was determined to use them for today's sketch, no matter what it was! I cut the original 'rind' off, and made new ones from Stampin' Up! Glorious Green and Green Galore cardstock. I used Whisper White cardstock as well. I stamped the Hello! in Basic Black. The stamp is from the Simply Circles set, which is retired. The other embelishments are from my stash, and ta-dah, we have a card! I will say that this card is another desperate attempt for me to hang on to summer! ;)

Mojo 100- Day 2
Hello! I just love waking up to a new sketch! I had a lot of fun with this one. AND, I got to use a stamp that has been laying around collecting dust since I bought it a year ago! :) I went outside using my normal bold colors, for more muted, subtle ones. I really like the end result. I used Stampin' Up! Kraft cardstock, and Soft Suede to ink the sides. Other than that, everything else is from my stash.
I REALLY want to buy a professional grade camera one day, but until then I am making do with what I have. I am currently experimenting with different angles and lighting for taking my photos, so they may look a little different until I find something that works! Thanks for looking, and have a wonderful day! :)

The symbol means 'Destiny'.
